The Band

daniel.jpg
Daniel Hughes // Drums

Daniel is the son of a son of a drummer. Grandpa played, his dad plays and he's been hammering the skins for over 15 years. With Travis Barker as his biggest influence, Daniel has cranked at First Friday, Joe's Grotto, and private events. When he isn't playing (and jumping up and down) he hangs out with his son, friends, plays video games and tries to keep Tyler from tattooing him.

Arvin Kuhn // Bass

Our fearless music director, Arvin discovered the bass as a teen and never turned back. Because that's kind of rare, he was instantly in bands and has provided the thunder in cover and original acts. He's a metal head at heart and likes his sound to punch with songs that stick in your head. Originally from Arizona, when he isn't playing, Arvin chases around his two beautiful girls and roots for the Dallas Cowboys.

Chad Rose // Vocals

Chad has been singing damn near forever. He charged kids to listen when he was four. Since then, he's run the gamut of Glee-like pop-chorus, and even a little opera. The 80's band Night Ranger inspired him to rock (don't judge). He's published original music, opened for major acts and played countless small clubs. Whether it's for two or two-thousand, he just loves to sing. When he's not doing that, you'll find Chad running his communications business, working on a '60s Dodge convertible, and doing cardio so he doesn't pass out on stage.

Dylan Welker // Lead Guitar

Dylan was born at a young age and ever since he could remember, guitars were around. After learning the five chords his dad knew, he took some lessons and started playing in bands. This included Daniel. That shit didn't pan out (Jimmy quit, Joey got married). But Daniel and Dylan stayed pals. He joined Hustlerz in 2021 and never looked back.

Tyler McMains // Rhythm Guitar

Tyler was a founding member of Hustlerz. Then, just as we were starting to play bad ass venues, he quit. Thank goodness he came to his senses and now provides rock solid rhythm and dope ass backing vocals. He's the punk rock cowboy and we are stoked to have his ass back. He has been playing since he was 14 — from punk to country and everything in-between. When not playing he enjoys contemplating life, cracking a cold one, watching the game and playing with his deaf dog, Willow.

// who we are

About

We're Hustlerz. Our job is to help you make decisions you regret in the morning! (as long as you are safe) We're Arizona's Pop-punk, Summer at the Warped Tour, emo, kick your ass with a smile on your face cover band that will make you say "Hey! I know that one!" — have way too much fun and Uber home (maybe with a new friend!).

Once upon a time, Arvin, Daniel and Tyler needed a singer. So they put an ad on Craigslist. Chad answered and they said, "sure, show up and sing." We had no idea if we sucked or would like each other.

Turns out none of us sucked — in fact we are pretty darn good — and we found ourselves jelling pretty quickly, too. It was one of those internet matches that actually worked. We added Dylan in 2021, and have grown ever since. We push each other, have fun, argue over a song every now and then, but most of all love playing killer songs for you, and having a great time while we're at it.
